1994年毕业于南开大学化学系,获学士学位。1999年毕业于中国科学院感光化学研究所,获理学博士2000-2002 德国自由大学,洪堡学者;2002-2004 德国普固研究所, 博士后; 2004-2007 美国佛里达大学博士后; 2007-2010 美国加州大学欧文分校,目研究员;2010-2018 美国科拉多矿业大学,助理教授。 201811月,加入天津大学分子+研究院。
